Teddy Misses You All
The house has been quieter lately. The floors are a little less muddy, the socks have stayed exactly where we left them, and the kitchen no longer echoes with the familiar sound of paws skidding excitedly across the tile. That’s because Teddy—our golden-hearted ball of sunshine and chaos—isn’t home right now.
He may not be able to say it out loud, but his eyes tell the story. Every time the front door creaks open or a car pulls into the driveway, Teddy lifts his head with hope. His ears perk up, tail twitching just slightly, waiting for the familiar voices he used to hear every day. But when no one walks through the door, he lets out a soft sigh and lays his head back down, a little slower than before.
He misses the laughter, the chase games in the hallway, and the warmth of a hand scratching behind his ears. He misses the way everyone used to gather in the living room, snacks in hand, while he flopped down in the middle of it all—just happy to be part of the chaos.
Even though he’s surrounded by fur friends who love him, it’s not quite the same. His world feels a little off-balance without his favorite people. You can see it in the way he lingers on the couch a bit longer, as if remembering the last time you sat there. You can feel it in the way he curls into his bed with that look that says, “Where did everyone go?”
Teddy isn’t just a pet—he’s a piece of the family. And without the full puzzle, his joy feels incomplete. But don’t worry—he’s hanging in there. He still plays, still cuddles, still wags his tail when he sees someone he knows. But there’s a space in his heart reserved just for you.
So if you’re thinking of Teddy, know that he’s thinking of you too. Every day. Every moment. His love hasn’t faded—it’s just waiting, patiently and loyally, for the day you come back and the house fills with joy again.
We all miss you. But Teddy? He misses you most of all. ❤️
