At a 32-week ultrasound, Amanda Foster from Kentucky saw what looked like a large hand resting gently on her baby’s head—a moment she believes is a divine sign. For Amanda and her husband Kyle, the image was more than coincidence. Earlier in the pregnancy, doctors feared a life-threatening heart defect in their son. Amanda had prayed, “God, place Your hand over my baby.” Weeks later, the defect vanished, and this image appeared.
Shared widely online, the ultrasound sparked debates—some called it a miracle, others chalked it up to a scan distortion. But Amanda is certain: “This is His protection.”
Her faith journey hasn’t been easy. At 17, she lost her first son to Potter’s syndrome. Doctors later said she might never carry a healthy boy. Though she had two daughters, Amanda felt broken and spiritually distant—until surrendering to Christ in 2021. That fall, she conceived again.
Now, nearly eight months pregnant, Amanda calls this baby “a continued miracle.” Her daughter Bailey, present during the ultrasound, was the first to see the “hand.”
“This isn’t just about a picture,” Amanda said. “It’s about healing, faith, and answered prayers.”
To the Fosters, that image is God’s touch—a visible sign of hope and grace.
