⬇️ Teddy Is Sick…
It breaks my heart to share today’s update, because it’s one of those days when the worry sits heavy in your chest and refuses to let go. Our sweet Teddy isn’t feeling well, and seeing him like this—quiet, tired, curled up against us with that soft sadness in his eyes—has been one of the hardest things we’ve gone through in a long time.

Normally, Teddy is the sunshine of the house. He’s the first one to greet the morning with a wag so big it shakes his whole body. He nudges your hand when he wants attention, brings his favorite toy when he wants to play, and sprawls across your lap with absolutely no awareness of his size because he believes, wholeheartedly, that he is still a tiny baby. But today… today he didn’t want to play. He didn’t want to run. He didn’t even lift his head when he heard footsteps.

Instead, he quietly climbed onto the couch and gently rested his head across a leg—almost as if he was trying to tell us, “I don’t feel good… please stay with me.”

There’s a different kind of silence when a dog is sick. It’s the silence of a heavy heart. A silence that makes you pause every few minutes to check his breathing, feel his head, make sure he’s comfortable. It’s the silence where the whole house moves slower, speaks softer, and does everything possible to keep a little golden heart feeling safe.

The way Teddy curled up today spoke louder than words ever could. His paws tucked close, his chest rising and falling a bit slower than usual, that big fluffy tail still and quiet. He kept leaning into the warmth of the person beside him, as if the closeness alone made him feel a little better. Dogs can’t tell us what hurts, and that is one of the most helpless feelings in the world—you just want to fix everything for them.

We’ve been monitoring him closely, giving him all the comfort and care he needs. He’s drinking water, but he’s tired—more tired than he should be. And every time he shifts or lets out a little sigh, it feels like someone is squeezing our chest a little tighter. He is such a gentle, loving soul, and seeing the spark in his eyes dim even for a moment is enough to bring tears to anyone who loves him.

But even in his sickness, Teddy reminds us how deep a dog’s love goes. Sick or not, he still wants to be close. Still wants to rest his head on the person he trusts most. Still wants to feel safe in the warmth of home. And that, in itself, is something incredibly beautiful—this quiet, unspoken bond between a dog and the people who adore him.

We’ve already contacted the vet and discussed what’s been happening. We’re taking every step to make sure Teddy gets the help he needs, and the vet reassured us that we’re doing the right thing by keeping him comfortable and watching him carefully. We’ll take him in if anything changes—even the slightest bit. His health is our priority, always.

But for now… he just needs rest.
Rest, comfort, love, and someone to stay right beside him—and that’s exactly what he’s getting.

If you could’ve seen the way he looked up, just for a moment, with those soft, trusting eyes… it would melt your heart. It’s as if he’s saying, “I know you’re here. I know I’m safe.” And that’s why moments like this are so emotional. Because they remind you that dogs feel everything humans do—fear, discomfort, longing, love—but they depend on us completely to help them through it.

So please, if you’re reading this… send a little love Teddy’s way.
A prayer.
A warm thought.
A gentle wish for healing.

He may be sick today, but he’s not alone. He’s surrounded by love, wrapped in comfort, and held close in the hearts of everyone who cares about him.

We just want our happy, tail-wagging, goofy boy back. And with a little rest and a lot of love, we’re hoping that day comes very, very soon. ❤️
