Teddy Will Have Surgery
Hearing that Teddy will need surgery has been one of the hardest pieces of news to process. For so long, Teddy has been our bundle of light—his wagging tail, soft eyes, and gentle nature reminding us every day of the joy he brings. Now, with the reality of surgery ahead, our hearts feel heavy with worry and fear, but also hopeful that this step will help bring back his spark.
It started with the small changes—Teddy being a little more tired than usual, not running to the door with his usual enthusiasm, or taking longer naps than before. At first, we thought it was just the weather or perhaps a passing mood. But when those signs continued and he wasn’t his playful, mischievous self, we knew something wasn’t right. After many vet visits, tests, and discussions, the doctor explained that surgery was the best way to help him heal and recover.
The word surgery feels so big and scary, especially when it involves someone you love so deeply. Dogs may not understand what’s happening, but they feel our emotions. And Teddy, ever the empathetic soul, has noticed our worried glances and quiet whispers. Yet, even now, he still leans into us, offering comfort when we should be comforting him. That’s the kind of dog Teddy is—selfless, loving, and endlessly forgiving.
The days leading up to the surgery will be filled with anxious moments, but also with extra cuddles, belly rubs, and gentle words to remind him how loved he is. We want Teddy to feel safe, secure, and surrounded by nothing but positivity and warmth. His bravery is already inspiring us to be strong for him, even when our hearts are trembling.
We know the road to recovery won’t be instant, but with every step, every wag of his tail, and every little improvement, we’ll be right there by his side. Teddy has given us countless reasons to smile over the years, and now it’s our turn to give him the strength, love, and care he needs as he goes through this challenge.
