Why Is Teddy Sick?
It’s the question no one ever wants to ask—Why is Teddy sick? For a long time, he’s been the heartbeat of our home. His wagging tail, his warm eyes, his silly, clumsy joy that lit up even the dullest days. But lately… things have changed.
At first, it was subtle. Teddy didn’t bounce off the couch as quickly, didn’t rush to the door when he heard familiar footsteps. His eyes, once full of light and excitement, started to look tired—like he was carrying a weight he didn’t understand. He began sleeping more, eating less, and that playful spark we all loved so much started to dim.
We hoped it was just a lazy day, a phase, or maybe the weather. But deep down, we knew something wasn’t right.
And now, as we sit beside him—watching him curl up quietly on the couch, barely lifting his head when we whisper his name—the fear becomes real. Teddy, our brave, sweet boy, isn’t feeling well. The vet visits have become more frequent. Blood tests, x-rays, medications… all trying to uncover what’s going on inside his precious body.
The hardest part is not being able to explain it to him. He doesn’t know why he’s tired. He doesn’t understand the needles or the strange smells at the clinic. All he knows is that he feels different—and he just wants to be close to the people he loves.
And that’s what we’re doing. Staying close. Holding his paw. Letting him rest his head in our lap. Whispering to him that he’s a good boy, over and over again. Because he is. He always has been.
Teddy has given us so much—loyalty, laughter, comfort, unconditional love. And now, when he needs us most, we’re here. Watching, hoping, praying.
We don’t have all the answers yet. But what we do know is this: Teddy is strong. Teddy is loved. And no matter how hard this road may be, he won’t walk it alone.
Please keep our sweet boy in your thoughts. He may be sick, but his heart is still full of love—and we’re holding onto hope that his story isn’t over yet.
