But nearly 10 hours later, a rescue team spotted something moving on a rooftop. Curled up beside a soaked tarp was a dog — barking frantically, refusing to leave. And beneath that tarp? The woman, unconscious… and a newborn baby in her arms. She had given birth alone, during the flood. Medics say if the dog hadn’t stayed, shielding the baby’s body with his own, neither would have survived the cold. The twist? No one knows who the dog belongs to. He simply showed up when the water rose… and never left. They’re calling him Guardian.
