Robin Kaye, the acclaimed music supervisor behind American Idol,

has been found dead alongside her husband,

Thomas Deluca, in what police are investigating as a double homicide.

The couple was discovered inside their Encino home on Monday after LAPD officers conducted a welfare check.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the responding officers arrived at the property and noticed blood near the front door.

Unable to make contact with anyone inside, they broke a window to gain entry, where they found Robin and

Thomas deceased from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
